Appendix X - BCFPI REQUIREMENTS

We have not tested BCFPI on, nor do we support Windows Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 2008.

| Other |
- BCFPI requires MS Internet Explorer 4.0 or newer.
- The plug in reports (reporting on exported Aggregate data) require Excel '97, 2000, XP (2002), 2003, or 2007. They will run in Excel '97, however we strongly recommend Excel 2000 - Excel 2007. We have noticed significant performance improvements with Excel 2003.
- The aggregate merge utility, export, and plug in reports require MDAC, and MS Jet (both available free from Microsoft) to run.
- You will need MS Access '97, 2000, XP (2002), 2003, or 2007 to view your exported (Aggregate) data (AggInd32.mdb). MS Access is NOT required to create an export.
- If you have a mix of Win9x-based (Win95, Win98, WinMe) and WinNT-based (WinNT, Win2000, WinXP, Win2003) computers, you must choose a Novell server or one of the WinNT-based machines to be your BCFPI server.
- We have not tested the software with Office 2010 Excel or MS Access.

| Upgrading |
You can only upgrade version 2.x or newer of the BCFPI software with this install. If you are running a previous version, please contact support@bcfpi.com for help before attempting an upgrade. If you are upgrading a previous version, you must be careful to choose the correct install location, or your old data will not be upgraded. |
a BCFPI has not been tested on Windows Me, but some sites are successfully using in on Windows Me. We will not be officially testing Windows Me.
b Windows NT must be at Service Pack 6a (or higher) for the install to work.
c BCFPI has not been fully tested on Windows 2000, however many sites are successfully using BCFPI on Windows 2000.
d BCFPI can be run by both Admin and non-admin users on Windows XP. Testing on Windows XP for non-admin users was done using Microsoft's default security settings for XP non-admin users.
